During the holidays we face our shortcomings and mortality, as we also
strive to become our best selves. This year Kol Ami offers a way to prepare
for the High Holy Days with four sessions leading up to Rosh Hashanah. Our
theme is “While We Are Alive.” We will honestly assess different areas of our
lives and consider how the themes of the holidays can help us change and
grow. Attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged.

 

Rabbi Helen Cohn was ordained in 1994 at Hebrew Union College in
Cincinnati, the home of the Reform movement. She moved to Tucson in the
summer of 2006 after twelve years at Congregation Emanu-El in San
Francisco. In 2008 she was asked to be the spiritual leader of Tucson’s
newest Reform congregation, M’kor Hayim. She retired when the
congregation disbanded in June 2025, but continues to be active as a Rabbi in
Tucson.
