Join the Prime Timers on a guided tour of Oro Valley’s historic Steam Pump Ranch—where the Old West meets a tale of preservation and community spirit. Docents from the Oro Valley Historical Society will bring the past to life as they share stories of the families who lived and worked on the land, the unique reasons this spot was chosen, and how the ranch was saved from becoming “just another roadside strip mall.” This free tour offers a wonderful opportunity to explore local history, connect with fellow members, and enjoy a morning steeped in heritage and charm.

 

Please note: Parts of the tour are outside. Please wear weather appropriate clothes and closed toed shoes and bring water. The interior of the house is not wheelchair accessible.

 

 

There is no cost for the guided tour. The optional lunch to follow is pay-yourself.
