This three-part course will introduce and survey key aspects of the relationship between several phenomena:
 
1. Jewish civilization (history & culture);
2. Zionism and The State of Israel;
3. The history and current resurgence of Antisemitism; and
4. The wars that Israel has fought and continues to fight today.  
 
The emphasis will not be on comprehensiveness of coverage, but on engaged learning toward the goal of building up a basic cultural-historical literacy and turning it into plans for action. 
 
Instuctor Bio
This 3-part mini course will be taught by professors from the University of Arizona Judaic Studies department.
 
Lunch
Lunch will be provided for all participants.
