Beginning Prayerbook Hebrew is for you! Taught by Marjorie Hochberg,
Cantorial Soloist Emerita, this class covers a review of the Aleph-bet, basic
rules of reading, and mastery of several Hebrew prayers. This semester, we
will begin with the Amidah, the central prayer of Jewish worship. By the end
of the semester, we will have studied the full Amidah, Aleinu, and Mourner’s
Kaddish. You will also learn what the prayers mean and key Hebrew
vocabulary words.

The Hebrew Marathon course or approval from the instructor, is a prerequisite for this class.
