Saturday, May 21st at 5:00 pm, Kol Ami celebrates the joyous outdoor Jewish Festival of Lag BaOmer, the largest al fresco family festival of the year, in person with a bonfire, picnic, songs, and games at George and Lisa Youngerman’s Stonegate Ranch. The Lag BaOmer Celebration festivities includes a fabulous dinner, children’s games and hayrides, s’mores, horses, baseball, and more. As darkness falls we end the evening with a brief Havdallah ceremony to end the evening with light.
The Jewish holiday of Lag BaOmer is celebrated on the 33rd day in the period between Passover and Shavout. These 49 days are generally considered days of reflection and introspection. Lag BaOmer breaks this serious period with an outdoor celebration that combines Jewish themes with the joy of early summer.
All are invited to attend this intergenerational, family-friendly, Lag BaOmer celebration!
