This month, Jews on the Move heads to the top of Mt. Lemmon for a scenic adventure! We’ll hike the Meadow Trail, an easy 2-mile loop at 9,000 feet. Expect to take about an hour, with extra time for breaks and enjoying the views.
Families can meet in town at 1:00 pm to arrange carpools (indicate in the notes section below if you are interested in joining a carpool and we will figure out details as we get closer), or at the trailhead at 2:00 pm. We strongly encourage carpooling. After the hike, we’ll share snacks together at the summit.
Jews on the Move is designed for Jewish families with children ages 9–15, though adults and siblings are welcome. No special gear or hiking experience is needed—just good shoes, water, and a spirit of adventure!
The Mishpochah Project
Jews on the Move is part of The Mishpochah Project, Kol Ami’s new family initiative made possible by a generous grant from Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona (JPSA). Through monthly outdoor and recreation experiences, Jews on the Move helps families with older children strengthen bonds, make new friends, and discover Jewish joy through active adventures. Together, we’re building a community that explores, plays, and grows—side by side.
Deadline
The deadline to register for is Sunday, October 26, at 11:59am.
In the notes section below, please indicate if you are interested in carpooling! If you aren't interested, enter "N/A".
