Dear Kol Ami Community,
As we navigate these changing times, the role of Kol Ami in our community has never been more important. The past year has brought significant challenges and transformations to the Jewish community worldwide.
We ask ourselves: What do these times mean for our identity and our families?
Post-October 7, the Jewish world has changed dramatically, affecting us here, in Israel, and around the world. In the face of increased antisemitism, unity and resilience have become our greatest assets.
We are not new to conflict and are the heirs to one of the greatest survivor stories in the world's history. On behalf of our children, grandchildren, and those who have sacrificed so much to ensure our legacy and future, we ask you to honor that legacy by supporting our Jewish home.
Guided by optimism for our future and our heritage, we ask you to consider making an extra financial gift for our High Holy Days appeal. Your investment in Kol Ami will empower our clergy, professional team, and lay leadership to guide with dignity and strength. We understand that not everyone can give a lot, but if we all contribute something, we can ensure our synagogue remains a beacon of hope and a safe space to be proudly Jewish.
As we learn,
“All Jews are responsible for one another.”
(Babylonian Talmud, 39a)
Now is the moment to show your support.
As history has shown, when we support each other, we can do anything.
With gratitude,
Rabbi Malcolm Cohen
