THIS YEAR
Services this year will be available in person and virtually. If attending in person services, you must register.
REGISTRATION
Registration will remain open and will be first offered to our congregants as we have limited in person space (due to COVID). The registration form can be found by clicking here.
In the event that we have to restrict our attendance further, we will be giving spaces to those who register first. In the event that this happens, we will communicate your options with you. Registration will close for Rosh Hashanah on Thursday, September 22, at 3:00 pm and for Yom Kippur on Friday, September 30, at 3:00 pm.
To register, you must be logged into your Kol Ami member portal account. All members have accounts using their email addresses. If you have not set up your account, please click FORGOT PASSWORD and follow the information on the screen. HEALTH PROTOCOL
The Medical Advisory Task Force has met to provide guidance and develop protocols to balance the needs of our congregants while ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, clergy, and staff. The task force uses guidelines from the CDC and the Pima County Health Department to develop these procedures. Click here to view the current Kol Ami Infectious Disease Policy.
SECURITY MEASURES
There will be two entrances/exits (not including exits for emergencies) for all services in the Rubin Family Sanctuary. We will use the north (solar panel covered parking lot) and west (Bentley Ave) doors. Security guards will be doing bag checks before you enter the building. Please be prepared with your bag open, your photo ID and ticket. We appreciate your patience. As to not disrupt worship, once services begin in the Rubin Family Sanctuary, only the west entrance will be open. The south entrance will be open for the Youth and Tot services.
MAIN SERVICES
Main services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur will begin at 7:30 pm in the evening and 10:00 am in the morning. Main services are for adults and young adults past b’nei mitzvah age (age 13). Everyone is invited to attend Erev evening services including children over age 8. For younger children we have childcare.

YOUTH & TOT SERVICES
Youth services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur will be held at 10:00 am in the Weiner Religious School Auditorium. Youth services are designed for students in third grade through B’nei Mitzvah age. Post-B’nei Mitzvah students are invited to attend the main service and/or contact Rina at educationdir@katucson.org to help with the youth service. This service will only be offered in person. Tot services on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur will be held from 8:45 am – 9:15 am in the Weiner Religious School Auditorium. This program will only be available in person and is designed for children from birth to second grade age.

CHILDCARE
Childcare will be available for those attending the main evening and morning services (including Yom Kippur afternoon beginning at 3:15pm) in the Strauss Early Childhood Education Center for children ages six months to second grade. Advance registration is required. The deadline to register for Rosh Hashanah is Sunday, September 18, and Tuesday, September 27, for Yom Kippur. DECORUM
The Sanctuary is a place of prayer and meditation; we ask you to respect the mood of spirituality at all times. Please refrain from conversation during worship services, turn off cell phones, and all other electronic devices.
For your health:
If you are pregnant, Jewish law requires that you eat or drink.
If you bring something to drink to services, and need to drink something during the day, please respect others around you, and drink outside the sanctuary.
If there is medication you need to be taking daily, you should take it.
If fasting in any way threatens your health, you are required to eat and drink.
ATTENDING VIRTUALLY
All Sanctuary services (and others – please see the worship schedule for a complete list) will be available virtually via Zoom and Live Stream: Facebook Live, Vimeo, Youtube. All Kol Ami congregants will automatically receive Zoom and Live Stream links on the following dates: Selichot – Friday, September 16, Rosh Hashanah – Friday, September 23, and Sunday, September 25, Yom Kippur – Sunday, October 2, and Tuesday, October 4. Friends, family, and those who are not affiliated, can register on the Kol Ami website and also receive the links. PRAYERBOOKS
Physical prayerbooks will be available to those attending in person. We are currently unable to offer a digital version of the Mishkan Ha-Nefesh prayerbooks, however we will update the congregation by email if this changes. The Judaica Shop at Kol Ami has copies of the books available for sale and there is a Kindle version that can be purchased online.
WHAT TO BRING
If you are attending in person, we invite you to bring the following: government issued photo id, ticket, and your kippah and tallit. A mask is optional. Don’t forget, security will be preforming bag checks. Please be prepared at the entrance.
If your government issued photo id or vaccination card don’t match the name you prefer, please email communications@katucson.org for assistance.
BREAK FAST
A break fast will follow the service on Yom Kippur afternoon at approximately 6:15 pm. For more details and to donate or volunteer, click here.
RECIPROCITY
According to the Union for Reform Judaism guidelines, members in good standing at one synagogue may attend services at another URJ congregation at no charge. If you will be out of town for the High Holy Days, please contact the office to arrange for reciprocity.
