Join us for a meaningful evening with Liora Attias-Hadar, CEO of American Friends of ELEM, who will share firsthand stories from the frontlines of Israel’s youth crisis in the wake of October 7. Representing ELEM, Israel’s leading nonprofit for at-risk youth, Liora will offer insight into how the organization is helping thousands of teens and young adults recover from trauma, displacement, and daily hardship.
ELEM operates programs in over 42 cities across Israel, reaching over 13,000 young people every year—Jewish, Arab, Druze, Christian, immigrants, asylum seekers, and LGBTQ+ youth. Through street outreach, mobile crisis vans, 24/7 emergency shelters, drop-in centers, therapy programs, and job support, ELEM provides critical lifelines to those facing homelessness, abuse, exploitation, and emotional trauma.
Since the October 7 attacks, the need has only intensified. ELEM’s staff has remained on the ground, keeping shelters open through missile barrages and providing care in some of the hardest-hit areas. This is a rare opportunity to learn how Israelis are rebuilding from within, one youth at a time.
All are welcome to attend.
