Talmud Study

A Talmud class began at Legacy Temple Emanu-El many years ago and attracted people from all over Tucson and many winter visitors from around the country. It has continued with Kol Ami, and recently has been growing! We are currently reading tractate Makkot; once that is completed, we may then begin tractate Shevuot. Those attending are neither Torah nor Talmud scholars but are Jews who find the Talmud topics, discussion, logic interesting to consider and discuss. While few, if any, conclusions are ever reached, the process of discussion is both fascinating and frustrating! Discussions can be wide ranging and on or off topic! A few of us have been part of the group for years because it is all so engaging.

 

We’d love to have you join us online (Zoom) on Tuesdays from 10:00-11:30 throughout the year. Once you are signed up, you will receive information on what we were currently reading and how you might procure the reading material.
